BUYING INTO A COSMOPOLITAN LIFESTYLE

‘A sound property investment to enjoy all year round’ is like music to the ears of anyone purchasing property overseas. At Hesperides Mansions in the fashionable Neapolis area in Limassol, these musical sounds ring out from the apartments’ large balconies, that provide a birds eye view of the Mediterranean.

One, two and three bedroom luxury apartments are available in Erithia - the third phase of this beautiful residential development that is set amongst a mature orange grove, which has been preserved as the central common green area of the project.

No attention to detail has been spared in this contemporary scheme from Cyprus’ leading developer, Cybarco Ltd. Marble flooring covers the living areas, whilst ceramic tiles have been carefully chosen for the kitchen, bathrooms and balconies. Granite kitchen surfaces, solid wooden entrances, double glazed windows and a video entry system ensure both a sophisticated interior and a secure and tranquil lifestyle. Provisions for air conditioning will be available in each apartment.

Prices range from CY£65,300 – CY£148,800 to include parking and a storeroom and the apartments will be complete at the end of May 2007.

Apart from the high standard of design and finishes, what makes Hesperides stand out as such a sound investment is it’s location – within walking distance of the sea-front and close to the city centre of cosmopolitan Limassol.

Limassol is a surprise. The second largest city on the island, it is both modern in its outlook with its future confirmed by government plans for investment, and yet at the same time it offers a warmth and charm by way of its cultural traditions and stunning Byzantine architecture.

The city is rightly proud of its heritage – the Archeological Museum bears witness to a mediaeval era, whilst the ancient city of Amathus, the Sanctuary of Apollo Hylates, Kolossi Castle and Kourion ruins, all respectfully preserved, are testament to a culture rich in historical importance.

But Limassol is not purely a reflection of a by-gone age. Its five star hotels, ten-mile seafront, bustling shopping streets, tavernas and modern restaurants make it one of the most popular tourist ‘hot-spots’ in Cyprus.

It is fitting that this city, with its fun loving inhabitants, hosts some of the Island’s best known festivals. The annual Wine Festival is held in September, a ten-day celebration in Cyprus’ central wine-making municipality, that would satisfy even the likes of Bacchus. In addition there is the pre-Lenten Carnival with its masquerade balls and grand parades, the Limassol Festival in the Summer and the ancient Drama Festival at Kourion.

Whilst Limassol’s tourism strength continues to grow, it has also attracted more international businesses since Cyprus’ entry to the EU in May 2004. The Island’s location makes it the ideal stepping stone between Europe, Asia and the Middle East, whilst a highly educated workforce – Limassol will become a university city in 2006 – and low corporation tax, allows for productivity and profitability.

Such appeal can only gain in intensity with the scheduled development that is already underway in this city of 135,000 residents. The Cyprus Ports Authority is planning a significant upgrade to Limassol’s port infrastructure and superstructure within the framework of the Mediterranean Shipping Line’s expressed intention to intensify its activities through Limassol. Also in the pipeline is the construction of a modern passenger terminal, conference centre and a new …… berth luxury marina.

So, with a year round demand for holiday rentals – Cyprus glories in more than 300 days of sunshine a year – an increasing international business presence and multiple upgrades in the both the infrastructure and resort facilities, Limassol has positioned itself as a sound property investment of the future.
